Venezuela on Monday slashed five zeros from prices as part of a broad economic plan that President Nicolas Maduro says will tame hyperinflation but critics call another raft of failed socialist policies that will push the chaotic country deeper into crisis.

Streets were quiet and shops were closed due to a national holiday that Maduro decreed for the first day of the new pricing plan for the stricken economy, which the International Monetary Fund has estimated will have 1 million percent inflation by year end.

The price change comes with a 3,000 percent minimum wage hike and tax increases meant to shore up government revenue and a plan to peg salaries, prices and the country’s exchange rate tied to the petro, an elusive state-backed cryptocurrency.

I feel bad for the people in that country, they should be the ones who come to our countries as they would actually assimilate.
OP. Please read the Consitution. Governmental regulation and valuation of money
is not "socialism". It's what the U.S. is also supposed to have.

So, Venezuela and their predicament has nothing to do with Socialism and poor choices of their government that want to blame the US for their woes?
Even though they were once prosperous, and elected in a Socialist government and were so used to things being provided by their government that when they money dried up, they forgot their ways?
Just like Germany before the Socialists took over.

The Germany economy had gone through exactly the same thing except the US was not imposing an illegal Naval blockade of their ports.
The Nazi Germany implements Socialism and saves the nation and economy.
How did they do that?
Socialism and economic boom beyond that of any other nation in Europe at the time.
That does not compute...unless you have been told lies about how the economics of how Venezuela is operating right now.

Did you read the other Venezuela news yesterday?

This is why they are having problems. The last corrupt leader of Venezuela was in bed with the US oil companies. So they over threw him for looting the nation on behalf of the US companies who are going to take over Venezuela like the Bush Oil company took over Peru (and still controls it to this day using local gang lords as their agents of choice).
Now we have seen those Oil companies have used the US navy to illegal blockade their Venezuelan ports. This has blocked Venezuela from exporting the nationalized Oil which has put them, economically to the sword.

Not one of the Media or Top CT names has bothered revealing this to anyone let alone the CT community. Because of this vacuum of genuine information lies and mistruths can be told and are assumed to be true by the uninformed readers.

It is easy to play US people with socialism. Edward Bernays mind controlled them in the 1950's and make it the scary bad man. He made a psychological button which can be lightly pushed and elicit the reaction he and his employers desired.

If economic socialism is so bad why does the USA have it?
Paying people money when they don't have a job is socialist to the core.

What if everyone spend all of their government given money each week and the only shops to spend it in were government owned shops?
How could you lose money? Even more so when your government prints it's own money?
Under such a socialist system, you could not lose money. That is how socialism works, the government owns all the business and services. They don't even have to charge tax because they are the ultimate receiver of all profits.

The whole idea was invented by JP Morgan, capitalist. He thought if you could dominate a whole nation and inflict that economic arrangement on it it would make the owner very rich. Economic Socialism is the wet dream of Capitalists.

That is why they are bring it to the USA. The only fight is who get to head the table and receive all those profits.

You do know the US banks could foreclose on the US debt and put every US worker into slave labor until it was paid, fully legal?

I am in full agreement that THIS Venezuelan woman should immediately come to the USA and assimilate into my community ...

Donald Trump agrees, I am sure.
I think it was Magaret Thatcher that said "The trouble with socialism is sooner or later you run out of other peoples money" so true .
