I can't say much though. In the late 80's Maryland passed something where they wanted everyone to register their firearms. (I didn't) Montgomery county jumped on the bandwagon and did a gun buy back, $100 for long guns I don't remember what they were giving for handguns.

Best products company had Stevens single shot 12 gauge's for $59.99 plus tax. I bought two, took one and turned it in. All in all I paid 20 bucks plus tax for that shoulder breaking sob. Chuckle
Never. so because kids are crying we should rip up and abandon the constitutional values that built this nation? sure...sure. Let's go by what kids in a "walk out" are saying when most of them did it because they get a free day off of school. Not even knowing the principles as to WHY they just did what they did. But they know "everything" about the world, I forgot -_- Eyeroll

I don't when this stuff happens either and it's terrible, but all these "trends" lately are disturbing. Like tide pods Chuckle

I got me two shotguns for 150, years ago. Love them! one in my room just an arm's reach away if somebody breaks in, and one in my garage ready to go with bug out gear ;) of course i have knives and all and some other guns to for self defense, but those shotguns are the mains. yeehaww Smileyfud Smileyfud
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956
You can do just about the same amount of damage with almost any long gun. This 'scary AR15' crap is ridiculous. I watched the Town Hall on CNN the other day. All I saw was very pissed off people that don't know anything about guns. Their 'goal' isn't going to fix the problem.
